Due to new players arriving the deadline for team entry is now 1:00 on Sat 10th May. Please give your team and £10 to Martin Smith or Carl Selby by then. There are also 3 new players to add to your list so previously entered teams can be modified before next sat by letting your team captain know.

Welcome to Fantasy League 2008. Nick Mitchell won the league last year and Sam Gunaratne the individual prize but will it all change this year?

GKCC Fantasy League 2008

Welcome to the new and once again improved GKCC Fantasy League 2008!

Introduction:
Here is your opportunity to assume the role of committee member and pick your team of GKCC superstars for the season. Not only do we have big prizes up for grabs again this year, entering your team will provide extra valuable revenue to the club.

The Rules:
Select 3 players from the batsmen category, 2 from the bowlers category and 1 from the all rounders category. Your budget is 60 points. Then watch them score points for you all season. All players get the same points for contributions, be it with bat, ball or gloves.
New for 2008: There will be a transfer window the weekend we have no fixture, June 21/22, when you will be able to make up to 2 substitutions if you desire.
New for 2008: You do not have to pick yourself but you can if you wish.
The entry fee will be £10 per team. A team will not score points until the team selection and money has been received so hand both in together.
Only Chiltern League games will count towards the Fantasy League.

Scoring: All players score the same points and bonus points, it doesn’t matter what they are classified as.

Appearance
Everybody who plays gets 20 points per game.

Batting
You get a point for every run you score. You get a bonus 10 points for making a 50 and an extra bonus of 50 points if you make a hundred. Anyone not out will get 10 bonus points. A duck is worth –10 I’m afraid.

Bowling
20 points for each wicket you take and a bonus 50 if you take a 5 wicket haul.

Catches
15 points for every catch you take.

Stumping
20 points for a stumping.

Man of the Match
As selected by the skipper gets 30 points.

Will receive –10 points. Captain’s choice but there doesn’t have to be one.

The entry forms are available from the clubhouse or you can email your list of 6 players to martin-smith149@supanet.com. Remember, 3 batsmen, 2 bowlers and 1 all rounder. Your team must have a value of 60 points or less.

Please submit entries with your £10 entry money to your team captain.

Entries received after the 3rd May 2008 will only be accepted at the discretion of the organiser.
